Our paid-for reports are based on Analyse School Performance data (ASP is the government’s replacement for RAISEonline which ended on 31st July 2017). They go into more detail on specific themes and we charge a little as they took longer to build. It’s worth noting that our pricing is designed to be one-third of the cost of paying a consultant to go through your data, in one-hundredth of the time!

Understanding your School Report
Our Understanding Your School Report combines your latest DfE performance data with ONS area classifications, families of schools, and top quintile benchmarks to give you the most complete picture of your outcomes in the context of your school’s unique demographic intake.
We’ve done all the analysis for you (and presented it in easy-to-understand charts & graphs with callouts in plain English!) so you can get on with using your data to drive school improvement instead of wading through tables in Analyse School Performance.
Use the Understanding Your School Report to benchmark your performance against similar, top 20%, and national averages, see how far the area your school is based in has influenced results, examine gaps, get a summary of key successes and areas of concern, and to see how your performance has changed over the past 3 years.
Gap Reports
Gap reports are a series of five reports, based on Analyse School Performance data, which consider how certain vulnerable pupil groups are performing in a school when compared with the school and national averages for all students and the same pupil group.
This report is recommended for SLT and pastoral leaders in a school to identify where to focus interventions, resources and differentiation to ensure no child is being left behind.
Each of the 5 reports looks at a different pupil group
- Disadvantaged - looks at the performance of pupils with English as an additional language, pupils in receipt of Free School Meals, and children in receipt of Pupil Premium funding.
- Gender - looks at the differences in the performance of girls and boys.
- Prior Attainment - looks at the performance of pupils with low, middle and high prior attainment at the previous Key Stage.
- SEN - looks at the performance of children with special educational needs.
- Ethnicity - looks at the performance of the dominant ethnicity groupings in a school.
All reports look at key performance measures with the particular intention of highlighting any gaps between the children in the pupil grouping in question, and other children in the school or nationally. Visualisations highlight very clearly (using colour and stars) where there are gaps, in what subject, and in what type of measure (attendance, attainment or progress).
Benchmarking comparisons in these reports are designed to show if gaps are with the school average, the national overall average, or the national average for the same group of pupils.
Attainment & Progress Report
This report covers attainment and progress measures in detail. It delves into the detail of each subject area, covering every key measure for each subject, demonstrating how each pupil group performs, and how prior attainment affects the performance of pupils.
Benchmarking in this report compares the school result in each subject with the average for all subjects in the same measure thereby showing if certain curriculum areas are performing better or worse than others in the school. It also enables comparison with the national average for the same subject and the national average for all subjects.
This report is recommended for SLT and curriculum leaders in a school to identify particular areas for curriculum focus and improvement.

Arbor's financial reports focus on financial performance (school income and expenditure) rather than pupil performance data. They use data published by the Department for Education - Schools Financial Benchmarking data and Academies'Financial Benchmarking data.
Why financial benchmarking?
The reports enable you to benchmark your school's various areas of income and expenditure against other schools nationally (you will only be compared nationally with schools in the same phase e.g. primary), other schools in your local authority, and schools ‘like you.’
The reports not only enable you to identify areas of strengths and weakness in terms of income generation and expenditure but also to share that easily with your governing body.

How do we determine the financial 'like-you' comparison for schools?
First, we filter by all schools in the same phase as you (infant, junior, primary, secondary, sixth form).
Then we filter by schools inside/outside London as this affects your cost structure.
Next, we filter by size, ensuring comparison to schools with a similar number of students.
We take your school’s FSM, SEN and EAL profile, weight these factors 26%, 67% and 7% respectively based on the size of the attainment gaps at KS2, and combine them into a baseline score to find schools with similar demographic intakes to you.
Finally, we use a statistical algorithm to identify those schools which are most statistically similar to your score.
