Have your students been given detention but not been allocated to a specific session? You now have two options to fix this from the Students > Behaviour > Detentions > Dashboard > Unallocated detentions tab! Select the students, then choose to cancel the detentions, or assign them to an upcoming session.
In a detention session, you can see students’ AM and PM statutory roll call marks, so you can reschedule their detention if they’ve been absent. Just go to Behaviour > Detentions > select the detention to see their marks, or dig deeper into their full attendance for the day by clicking their names.
If you’re a Head of Department, you’ll now be able to see a departmental dashboard to help you get a summary of the students and staff in your department, see the behaviour events in your department and compare this to whole-school averages. Just go to My Items > My Departments.
This term we’ve been busy working hard on solutions to put the power of payments back in your hands. Not only can you refund clubs, but you can now also cancel a student's participation in a trip and process a full or partial refund for each payment! See our article for full instructions.
What else is new?
- Assign candidates to seats by examination as well as by sitting on the Scheduling > Assign Seats page.
- We have replaced the assessable code on printed exam seating plans with an easy to reference ‘exam number’.
- We’ve changed the assessment settings export/import spreadsheet, so you won’t be able to import any edited files, helping us to prevent any setup issues!
Soon you’ll also be able to analyse your gap data over time on the Expectations over Time, Transition Matrix and Statistics analysis pages. We’re also working on supporting the setup of trust-wide policies to help further standardise and analyse assessments.
Classroom management tools are in hot demand, so look out for new features such as seating plans in the future!
