It's easy to create and download a report of attendance broken down by the percentage of each code, for the whole school and for individual students.
- For a breakdown of the number of each attendance code rather than the percentage, see report 4 here: Viewing statistics for attendance
- You can also find many other commonly requested reports here: Common attendance reports
For a percentage breakdown, go to School > Attendance > Statistics, by default this will show percentages for the whole school of Present, Authorised and Unauthorised absents.
To look at individual attendance marks, click on the filters at the top of the page. Untick the ticked fields, and tick the box next to Percentage Of Each Mark, then click Apply.
You'll then see a breakdown for the whole school. Click Download to export the table in a variety of formats - choose Excel if you want to remove certain marks from your report.
For a percentage breakdown for individual students, click back into the filters. Change the Show data by... filter to Student, then click Apply.
The report will then show percentages for each mark for each student. Click Download to export the table in a variety of formats - choose Excel if you want to remove certain marks from your report.
Including non-statistical marks
Certain attendance codes are not counted towards statutory attendance so will not affect attendance figures and won't be included in the reports above. You can see more information on which marks these are here: Attendance codes and how they count towards statutory attendance
To report on these marks as if they had a present/absent statistical meaning and find the percentage it would amount to, you can use our Custom Report Writer template: Reporting on Covid-19 attendance
