Can we complete the School Level Annual School Census (SLASC) through Arbor?

1. Go to School > Data > Export > Data Returns. If this page doesn't have any school censuses on it, you may not be required to submit the census through Arbor.
2. Go to School > School Details and check your Governance Type. If this is set to Independant, you may not be required to submit the census through Arbor.

If you're unsure, confirm with the DfE whether your school should be completing the termly school census, or the School Level Annual School Census (SLASC).

• If you should be completing the school census, you'll need to update your governance type to the correct one.
• If you should be completing the SLASC, you will not be able to complete this through Arbor.

We don't currently support running the SLASC census through Arbor and do not have plans to change this. Please refer to the DfE's instructions on using the direct input method to submit your census: School-level annual school census: guide to submitting data

You will not be able to run the school census as a replacement, because this census takes data from the last term rather than the full year, so the data submitted would be incorrect.
