Before you join the session
- Share the unique joining link with other people so they can join the session required for their role at the specified times. We ask school to use no more than 3 devices at at time to prevent sessions over filling. However, you can train more people at once, by booking out a meeting room or similar in your school and displaying the training on a projector and speaker (counts as 1 device).
- Check you are able to access the session by ensuring Zoom.us is whitelisted at your school and is not blocked by any filters on the device(s) you are joining from.
- Test your Speakers. There is no need for a microphone on this session as all communication from you to the trainer will be via the chat box. However, you will need suitable speakers or headphones to listen to the training.
- Where possible, set up a second screen or tab so you can log in to your test site and take part in activities to help consolidate your learning. If you can't do this during the session, you will find some activities in the Post Training Activities Tab above to complete afterwards.
- Put a sign on your door or find a quiet place to join the session from. It's important you are given time to focus on the training without distractions where possible as we will be covering a lot of core content throughout the sessions. But don't worry we have scheduled in breaks so you can grab a cup of coffee and be back in time for the next bit of training!

3. Familiarise yourself with the Help Centre. Look at a range of articles suited to your role within school.
Part 2
1. Navigate to a student profile in the test site and add a new guardian and a medical condition or pastoral note
2. Navigate to a staff profile, edit their current business role and add a next of kin.
3. Explore your Data Quality Dashboard. Investigate any errors, incompletions and warnings and look at how these are updated within a profile.
Part 3
1. Navigate to a register in the test site and change some of the marks.
2. Use one of the bulk edit marks to change a group of students marks to the Trip code.
3. Run a report in the Attendance Statistics page to show attendance percentage for Present, Late and Absent for each year group. Then, why not have a go at replicating some of your regular reports in the Attendance Module in the test site.
4. Log an absence for a member of staff with teaching responsibility and then set their lessons to be covered using the slide over. Investigate the cover statistics related to this action.
Part 4
1. Please do not amend timetable slots on the test site. Instead, have a look at the filters for School, Staff and Student timetables. Explore the timetable for a room and find available staff using the Free Staff Finder.

3. Create a simple Custom Report based on students with at least 4 columns. Practice sharing this report with other users and editing your report with specific filters or groupings.
How do I access a recording of the training?
The person who registered your school for the training will receive an email the following day if they attended the session. This email contains a survey link to share feedback and help us develop our training and links to some pre recorded versions of the training you attended. These videos contain the key content from the session in a more condensed format to make them easier to watch back and share with other people in your school.
If no one from your school attends the session, you will be asked to register for another session and will not receive the recordings until the session has been attended.
If you have attended the session but the person who registered has not received the recording within 2 working days, please contact us via arbor.training1@arbor-education.com, and state the session and date you attended. We can then resend the follow up email with all the resources.
