Can we copy marks between summative and DfE statutory assessments?

When you input marks into DfE statutory assessments, such as the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile (EYFSP), Key Stage 1 (KS1) or 2 (KS2) end of year assessments, these marks won't automatically appear in your summative assessment marksheets for the summer assessment period. And vice versa - marks you add to your summative assessments won't automatically be copied into DfE statutory assessment marksheets.

There is no button or automatic mapping tool that will move the marks across. This is because you may use different grades, so we wouldn't be able to automatically map them.

You'll need to fill in the marks on both marksheets. This ensures there are no gaps in your summative assessment data for analysis, and you can export the DfE assessment marks as needed.

If both assessments use the same grade set, you can copy the grades from one marksheet into the other:

  • To copy, select the fields and drag until they are all selected, then use Ctrl+C (Windows) or Cmd + C (Mac).
  • To paste, select the fields and drag until they are all selected, then use Ctrl+V (Windows) or Cmd + V (Mac).

You can see the marksheets side by side to make comparing and copying easier by viewing two windows.
