Exclude Guest students from my attendance reports and statistics

Can we change this on my Homepage dashboard?

We include all students in attendance figures on the homepage and in default reporting, because schools have a duty of care to provide the education the students are entitled to, by encouraging attendance. 

As such, it isn't possible to exclude students from the Key Performance Indicators on your homepage. You will need to use one of the below reporting methods to pull the report you need.

Excluding Guest students

In custom reports

For any of your reports set up in the Custom Report Writer, you can add a filter for Enrolment Mode.

In the slide over, select Is not one of... and choose Guest Pupil, then click Save. Your report will now only students who are not guest students.

From in-built attendance and enrolment figures

You can use a custom group to filter your in-built statistic reports for only certain students: Create and use Custom Groups

Just add Automatic Membership Criteria for Enrolment Mode. In the slide over, select Is not one of... and choose Guest Pupil, then click Save. Your custom group will now include all students who are not guest students.

You can then select this custom group in the filters of your in-built reporting pages, such as in Students > Attendance > Statistics.
