Troubleshooting Custom Report Card layouts/formatting

When I amend the table width in Table Properties, it reverts back once I've saved it

It might be due to the length of your merge fields. Cells in custom report cards need to be as wide as the merge field being used for the cell, so even if you try to reduce their size, it'll just revert back to the width of the merge field, which can be a headache if the merge field's rext is really long! 

For example, you might have a merge field called "Report Field: Engagement in Learning: Biology (GCE2Y): Spring", and even if the actual output is only “Good”, etc., it would have to be as long as the full title.

To resolve this, you'll need to add a shorter Column label to the report field in your linked Custom Report, to reduce its size.

1. Unlink the custom report from the report card, from the General tab (steps here)
2. Go to School > Custom Report Writer and click on your report, and then click Edit 
3. Click the pencil icon for any fields you want to add a label for
4. In the slide-over, add the Column label and click Save
5. Save your report and go back to the report card
6. In the General tab, click on Linked custom report and re-add it, and click Save Changes
