Workflow Categories, formerly Collections or Habits, group related workflows like Finance or HR. Create one in Arbor Workflows by opening Settings, selecting Categories, clicking “+ Add new category,” naming it, and choosing “Add.” Workflows are assigned through the Workflow Builder’s Review & Test area.
Creating and Managing Workflow Categories
Categories (formerly known as Collections or Habits) are a powerful way to group related workflows together.
What is a Workflow Category?
In Arbor Workflows, a Category acts as a folder. While a single workflow might handle a specific task (like an "Approval for Leave" form), a Category allows you to see the all the processes you have set up as workflows that relate to a specific area such as Finance, HR and School Improvement.
For example, a HR Category might include:
Onboarding / Induction workflows
Probation Workflows
Appraisal Workflows.
Leaver Workflows
How to Create a New Category
Follow these steps to create a new category:
Access the Workflows Dashboard
Log into your Arbor MIS and navigate to Arbor Workflows. Once you have launched Arbor Workflows, navigate to the Settings area.
You will see Categories, select it to open your Categories area.
Create New
Click the + Add new category button in the right-hand corner. Once you have selected this a pop-up will load enabling you to name the category.
Select the green 'Add' button. This will add the title to your categories area.
If you want to add workflows to this category, you can manage this within the Review & Test area of each workflow from within the Workflow Builder. You can find out how to do this here: Managing Permissions - Workflow
