Error 4155 occurs when a temporary National Insurance (NI) number is supplied. To resolve this, either remove the NI number and submit a validation note for Query 4160Q or replace it with a permanent NI number that meets specific criteria.
Error Message: Temporary NI numbers must not be supplied. This must be replaced or removed.
Resolution:
The first two characters of the NI number supplied are GB, BG, NK, KN, TN, NT or ZZ. These are only used on temporary NI numbers, you either have to:
- Remove NI number and submit a validation notes on COLLECT for Query 4160Q which will appear after the number had been removed
- Replace the temporary one with a permanent one
To replace the NI number:
- Go to the staff member's profile
- Click on the NI number in the Identity section
- Click on the Edit button
- Review the data entered, replacing the NI number with a permanent one. It must follow these conditions:
- Must be 9 characters
- First two characters must be letters
- The first letter must not be D,F,I,Q,U or V
- The second letter must not be D, F, I, O, Q, U or V
- Next 6 characters must be numbers
- Final character must be a letter - it needs to be A, B, C, D or space
- Click Save Changes
