This article addresses an error message related to contract end dates in staff profiles, specifically for Fixed Term Contracts. It provides a resolution by guiding users to remove the end date if the staff member is not on a Fixed Term Contract.
Error Message: Contract/Service Agreement end date should be on or prior to Census Reference Date for this type of contract or agreement
Resolution:
If the staff member isn't on a Fixed Term Contract, the DfE would not expect an End Date, so you can remove this following these steps:
- Go to the staff profile
- Click on Contracts on the left
- Click on the contract under Staff Contract
- In the slide-over, remove the End Date
- Click Save Changes
If the staff member is meant to be on a fixed term contract, you can change this by following these steps:
- Go to the staff profile
- Click on Contracts on the left
- Click on the contract under Staff Contract
- Change the Employment type to Fixed Term
- Click Save Changes
