This article provides a resolution for the error message indicating that a daily rate should only be used for agency or service agreement teachers. It outlines the steps to review and update the staff contract type and to supply the necessary salary information.

Error Message: Daily Rate should not be used except for agency or service agreement teachers.

Resolution:

  1. Go to the staff profile
  2. Click on Contracts on the left
  3. Review contract type - if they are Permanent or Fixed Term they can't have a day rate. You'll need to either:
      • Change contract type if needed
      • If the contract type is right, you need to supply Salary information

To supply salary information:

  1. Scroll to the Daily/Hourly Rate section
  2. Click on the rate currently being provided
  3. Click on the Remove Contract Post Rate button
  4. Now scroll to the Salary section
  5. Click on the Add button and enter the salary information for this staff member
  6. Click Save Changes
