Primary Onboarding Workbook & Pre Migration Data Cleansing

Welcome to Arbor

Welcome to the first step of your Arbor Onboarding Journey! This guide will tell you how to access and use your Onboarding Workbook so your Project Lead can track weekly tasks and training progress.

The Onboarding Team will send you an Onboarding Workbook in your Week 1 email

You'll also be able to download a version of the workbook from the bottom of this article -  as this version is public some login details have been removed.

Please note the following can vary for a GroupCall API migrator, we are working on adding the GroupCall Migrator specifications to this guide. If you need to raise any data discrepancies post migration please contact Arbor support or your dedicated partner and we will be advised of the next steps.

Please note You do not need to share your onboarding workbook with us, this is for your own use only.

Click through the sections below to see a breakdown of each tab in your Onboarding Workbook.

1. Onboarding Checklist

The first tab of the workbook contains an overview of the tasks you will complete during the 8 week onboarding period and when you will need to do these. We'll remind you of these in your weekly emails!

The table has a 'status' tab so you can mark tasks as 'complete' when done and keep track of your weekly tasks.

2. Pre-migration Data Cleansing

Completing Data cleansing in your current MIS before migration is essential to make sure your data is correct and stored in the right place. This will reduce migration errors.

You should use this tab of your Onboarding Workbook to help you keep track of the Data Cleansing and Checks that you’ve performed.

For more information on Pre-migration Data Cleansing, please refer to the below guides:

SIMs Pre Migration Data Cleansing Guide

Scholarpack Pre Migration Data Cleansing Guide

Integris Pre Migration Data Cleansing Guide

3. Pre-migration Data Counts

Use this tab to perform your pre-migration data counts in your current MIS, and then compare to the numbers in Arbor after migration. It’s important that you compare these data counts after migration to make sure everything has carried across.

We advise completing these Data Counts in your Current MIS as close to migration day as possible.

More information on Data Counts can be found in the Data Cleansing guides linked above.

4. Training

In tab 4, you’ll find a breakdown of your onboarding training, called ‘Arbor Foundations’ in the Training Hub.

You can use this tab to keep track of which courses you have completed. We’ve also provided some additional information in this tab about bespoke training sessions that are available.

If you have not purchased any additional training but would like to, please contact customersales@arbor-education.com

5. Key Data

The Key Documents tab contains an array of helpful documentation which will aid your success throughout onboarding and going forward!

Remember, you can also check out our 'Moving to Arbor for Primaries' section of the Help Centre for all the guides you'll need during onboarding

On this tab, you will also find the login details for our test site, Sunnyville. You can use the test site to practice what you've learnt during training before you receive your live Arbor site in Week 5.

Please remember not to add any real data to the test site, as this is a shared site and other schools will be able to see it!
