The Arbor Finance accreditation process
The LA/Partner journey is a mixture of self paced online training modules through the training hub and live sessions with a member of the training team. The majority of the process is spread over three weeks to allow plenty of time to complete the online modules and explore the test site. There is a list of tasks to complete either throughout or at the end of the three weeks and a test of learning at the end of each module on the training hub.
Week 1
Meet with a member of the training team 1hr - You will be introduced to a member of the training team who will be with you for the whole process. They will ensure you are set up and ready to start learning, explain the timetable for the next few weeks and ensure you have access to the training hub and test site. It is also an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
Online learning- Modules 1 and 2 should be completed - Time needed 3 hours.
Module 1 content - Navigation and searching, system setup, logging in and managing users, budget and analysis records, contacts, catalogues, VAT and assets.
Module 2 content - Income and expenditure transactions, purchase orders, E-procurement, making payments, internal charges, budget allocations.
Complete live session content request form to prepare for the live session next week.
Week 2
Live session with trainer 2 hours - The purpose of this meeting is to reinforce the knowledge gained during the prior week. It provides an opportunity to examine processes more thoroughly and discuss workflows tailored to specific school requirements.
Online learning - modules 3, 4 and 5 should be completed - Time needed 4 hours
Module 3 content - Adjustments and reversals, bank reconciliation, importing a rec file.
Module 4 content - Reporting, period end, control accounts and accruals.
Module 5 content - Sales invoicing.
Complete live session content request form to prepare for the live session next week.
Week 3
Live session with trainer 2 hours - This session is to consolidate the learning completed the previous week. Processes can be looked at in more detail and any school specific workflows can be talked through.
Migration session with trainer 2 hours -
This session will cover the migration process and learning how schools will transfer their data into Arbor Finance.

Ongoing support: (Optional bookings)
The option to have the following sessions with a trainer should they be required. These can be booked when needed by emailing aftraining@arbor-education.com
Migration session when first schools are migrating - 2 hours: When completing the first few migration templates you can have your trainer on hand to assist.
Support session after 1st wave of schools go live - 2 hours: This is usually the busiest time for new LAs/Support partners. You may have questions and processes that you would like to refine after schools go live.
Year end session - 2 hours: A dedicated session to go through the year end process the first year your schools go live.
