What is Arbor AI?

Arbor AI is a collection of features seamlessly integrated throughout Arbor to make your everyday tasks easier. You will know if a feature is powered by AI by the Arbor AI icon next to it. Examples of Arbor AI features include: Ask Arbor, Suggest Comms and Suggest Student Summary

Who can use Arbor AI?

Arbor's AI features, like the Ofsted Companion, Student Summary and Ask Arbor are available to any staff member with the right permissions.

Some AI feature permissions are managed on a per-feature basis, meaning that your school might decide to give you access to Ask Arbor, but not Suggest Comms, for example.

Not sure which features you should have access to or want to request access to more features? Speak to your Admin team and refer them to this guidance on managing Arbor AI permissions.

Is Arbor AI free?

Yes, every school gets a monthly allowance to use on Arbor AI features.

Arbor AI features are a little different to regular Arbor features, because they're powered by AI credits behind the scenes. We believe every school should benefit from our time-saving AI features, so we give all schools a monthly free allowance of AI credits to use on standard AI features like Ask Arbor, Suggest Comms, and Student Summary (ex. Auto Absence).

If your school reaches the free limit, access to our AI features simply pauses until credits are replenished so that you never incur any surprise costs or unwanted overages. To continue using the features, you can also choose to top up your credits with a one-off AI Subscription to keep using Arbor AI without interruption. For more details, see Arbor AI Subscription and Monthly Free Allowance.
