Recording an absence
- Go to the staff member's profile. You can either:
- Go to Staff > Browse Staff > LA Staff and select the staff member from the list
- Or use the search bar in the right-hand corner of the top menu
- On the left-hand side, select Absences
- Click the green Record New Absence button
- In the slide-over, choose the absence type, the start and end date and time, and the approval details.
- Click Create Staff Absence
To view, edit or delete an absence after you have added it, select it from the Absences section on the staff member's profile to go to its Absence Details page. From here, you can:
- Click on any of the details to edit them on the slide-over
- Delete the Absence with the red button on the right
- Attach supporting documents to the absence record
Important things to note
- Absences are added one staff member at a time from their profile; you cannot do this in bulk.
- Welsh sites have a shorter list of absence reasons than English sites.
Setting working periods
You can set working periods for part-time staff so absence figures only count the hours they work.
- Go to the staff member's profile. You can either:
- Go to Staff > Browse Staff > LA Staff and select the staff member from the list
- Or use the search bar in the right-hand corner of the top menu
-
In the Working Periods section of the main page of their profile, select +Add.
- Choose when the period applies, the days of the week and what the times are.
-
Save Changes.
