How can I change or add a Bill Payer?

When Guardians are making payments on the Parent Portal they can select a bill payer. Guardians are unable to change, add or remove bill payers, but you can do this on the school's side.

Please note that you can only have a maximum of 3 bill payers. 

Permissions

To be able to edit students' bill payers you'll need the permissions Finance: View and Finance: Administer permission. If you don't have the permission, you'll need to ask your admin team to give you permission using these instructions.

 

Change the bill payer

  1. Go to the student's profile.
  2. Click on Payments, select the account and go to the Account Details page.
  3. Click on the bill payer.

Use the drop-down menus to adjust the bill payers as appropriate, then click Save Changes.

Add new bill payers

  1. Go to the student's profile.
  2. Click on Payments, select the account and go to the Account Details page.
  3. Click on the bill payer.
  4. Select another bill payer from the drop-down.
  5. Click Save Changes.

Who can we choose as the bill payer?

Any Guardian can be added as a bill payer regardless of if they are a Legal or Primary Guardian. If you need to add a new bill payer they will need to be first added as a linked Guardian. See how to add a new Guardian or Contact here.

 

Remove a bill payer

  1. Go to the student's profile.
  2. Click on Payments, select the account and go to the Account Details page.
  3. Click on the bill payer.
  4. Click the small cross next to the relevant bill payer.
  5. Click Save Changes.
