This article provides a step-by-step guide for transitioning from separate AM and PM registers to a single register for each morning and afternoon period. It outlines the process of ending current lessons and enrolments, adding students to an all-day register, and creating a new course structure if necessary. The goal is to streamline student registration for AM and PM classes.

What your register structure might look like
In the AM, you may have three registers:
- AM students
- PM students
- All Day students
In the PM, you may have registers:
- AM students
- PM students
- All Day students
To resolve this, so there is one Register for AM (including your Morning only and All Day students) and one for PM (including your Afternoon only and All Day students), you should follow the steps below:
Please bear in mind that after completing this process, the old structure before the change will remain. You may wish to rename these old modules to make this clear to other staff.
Step 1 - End current lessons
1. Go to School > Programmes > Courses
2. Select the AM course (you may need to click the plus icon to expand this section)
The structure may look like this example or may be different dependant on your set up.
3. In the Classes and Lessons section, click on a class
4. Click Edit.
5. Change the End Date to today
6. Click Save Changes.
Repeat this for each timetable slot.
Step 2 - End current enrolments
In the Enrolled Students section, select all the students.
1. Click the Bulk action button
2. Select Change Enrolment Dates.
3. In the slide over, set the Until date as today
4. Click Save Changes.
Repeat this for the PM course.
Step 3 - Add students to the all-day register
The final step is to add new enrolments for students into the All Day course with a start date of tomorrow. The easiest way to do this is by using the Bulk enrolment page: Using our bulk enrolment page
All students will then appear in the single register when they are due in school.
We can't select the different days to enrol students into
If you can't see a separate module for Monday AM, Monday PM etc, this means the course structure isn't set up with a Module for each AM and PM.
In this case, we recommend creating a new course structure. Following this process, you'll need to end the timetable slots for your old All Day course too, and start your new course from tomorrow onwards.
- Go to School > Programmes > Courses. Click +Add to add a New Course with a relevant title.
- Click into the newly created course, which should have '(No Lessons Scheduled)' >
- Locate the Module section > click +Add. >and label the Module Monday AM > then click Add Module.
Within each module, you'll need to schedule the register for that period only.
4. Within the Module > click +Add in the Classes & Lessons section and add Monday AM's register.
Use the web browser's back button to return to the main course where you have just added the Monday AM module.
Review and continue to add the modules for Monday PM, Tuesday AM, etc., until you have your whole week scheduled.
The new course should show as below from School > Programmes > Courses. You should then be able to use the Bulk Enrolment page to enrol in the right registers.
If your Nursery courses or AM/PM modules are currently sat under the wrong top-level courses, please see this article for instructions on Moving a module to a different parent course.
