What to expect on Day 1 of your Onboarding Journey

Disclaimer

The below information is relevant to schools who are onboarding via Spaces.

Welcome to Arbor:

On Monday of Week 1 of your Onboarding, your schools Project Lead will have received a 'Welcome to Arbor' email from their Arbor Customer Onboarding Manager to kick off your onboarding.  this email will contain some key information to start your journey such as:

  • Accessing The Arbor Training Hub  This is the space where you will access all of your Arbor training during your onboarding and beyond, most importantly, this week, you will complete your 'Welcome To Onboarding' training highlighted further below.
  • Logging into your Spaces Account - This is where you will keep track of all your onboarding tasks. Your invite will be sent to you in a separate email. Take a look at the following guides to help you get started: How to access Spaces and How to use Spaces
  • Nominating your schools Project Team, which is a survey which will allow you to ensure your key staff members get access to the Training Hub and essential courses (please ensure use the link provided to nominate the required users from your school).

Your schools Project Lead will also receive a few other emails in Week 1 which have been highlighted below:

1. Spaces invite

An email invitation inviting you to access Spaces where you will be able to access all of your Secondary Onboarding Plan, see here to see what your invitation looks like. Please check your junk folder if you haven't received this.

2. Arbor Training Hub invite

Another email your schools Project Lead will receive in Week 1 is an invitation to access your Arbor Training Hub account, which is where you will complete all training needed as part of the process, but most importantly, where you will need to complete the Learning Path called 'Welcome to Onboarding'.

This will be visible on your Training Hub Dashboard and will go through a full detailed overview of what your Onboarding will entail:

When clicking into this, you will see 4 courses. In Week 1, the following should be completed:

  1. Welcome to Onboarding - This course will go through what to expect as part of your onboarding, including a summary of your Onboarding timeline, how the process works next steps and much more.
  2. Data Migration - This course will go through the key steps required to be completed before your dummy migration starts on Week 3 and next steps:

These courses should be completed first, then if you have any questions or would like to discuss any of the content further, you  can book a call in directly with your Arbor Customer Onboarding Manager via your Spaces portal:

If you do not have access to the learning path, please reach out to your Onboarding Manager.

3. Secure Upload Portal and Groupcall authorisation emails

If you are moving from SIMs, your school's Project Lead will also receive a 'Secure Upload Portal in Week 1. They'll need to login to accept Arbor's T&Cs.

They'll also receive an email from Groupcall to set up authorisation in preparation for the dummy migration to start on Monday of Week 3. The second course highlighted above 'Data Migration', found on the Training Hub, will go through thorough steps on how to ensure all has been set up accordingly before your booked migration date.

Please note, if you are moving from Bromcom you do not need to authorise Groupcall and will receive your first Secure Upload Portal in Week 3.

Please see the following guides for more information on data migration:
