Please note that this process is for enrolling your nursery students in registers during the year, such as after migration. If you wish to set up your nursery registers for next year, you'll need to follow these instructions.
As nursery-age pupils are not required to attend school full time (25 hours of education a week), you’ll need to reflect when they are not required to attend in Arbor. Making sure Arbor knows whether a nursery student is due to attend ensures your attendance data remains accurate.
Attendance patterns can be assigned to students to tell the system when to include them in attendance registers. Using this method, you can include students in all morning roll call registers, all afternoon roll call registers, or both morning and afternoon roll-call registers. You can see how to do this here.
You cannot use attendance patterns for students who do not attend during the same times every day of the week. For example, a student attends all day Monday-Wednesday but doesn't attend Thursday or Friday, or a student attends afternoon only on Monday and mornings the rest of the week. In this case, you'll need to follow the instructions below.
Preparation
Make sure you have set up your registration lesson as shown below from School > Programmes > Courses. If you don't have this structure on your site, you can set it up following these instructions.
Enrolling students
Once you have added all your modules, go to School > Programmes > Courses and click the course.
Click a component module in the Modules section.
On the slide over, select Enrol Students.
Here you can select the students to enrol, as well as allowing you to select other component modules of the course you also wish to enrol them into.
You can enrol multiple students at the same time, as the 'students' field allows you to select multiple students. However, please make sure you choose students that are doing the same modules / attend during the same time periods.
When you are happy, click Enrol Students.
You can also enrol directly from a component module.
Go to the Enrolled Students and click +Add.
Next, select the option for Enrol Students. You also have the option to Setup Automatic Group Enrolment - useful for enrolling your students automatically if they have a Regular Attendance pattern.
Here you can select the students to enrol, as well as allowing you to select other component modules of the course you also wish to enrol them into.

When you are happy, click Enrol Students.
You can then see the student's enrolment on the course page and module page. you can also see an individual student's enrolment on their Student Profile. Go to Enrolment section and go to the Academic Year Courses section.
