Add and report on student's dietary requirements

Dietary requirements can help your catering and staffing teams understand what to serve your students. They are also listed in the Meal Register, so your teachers can ensure they don't assign a meal that the student cannot eat.

Permissions

• Student Profile: Meals: Administer All/My Students or Student Profile: Medical: Administer All/My Students permission - add or edit dietary requirements.
• Student Profile: Meals: View All/My Students or Student Profile: Medical: View All/My Students permission - report on dietary requirements.
  

Both of these permissions are needed to add dietary requirements to a student profile.

If you don't have these permissions, you'll need to ask your admin team to give you permission using these instructions.

Adding a dietary requirement

You can add and manage dietary requirements on the student profile in two ways:

• Through the Medical section
• Through the Meals section

Through the Medical section

Go to the Student Profile of the student you would like to add a dietary requirement or allergy for.

Scroll down the page or use the drop-down box to access the Medical section.

To add a dietary requirement, click +Add and update the slide-over with the correct information.

You can choose whether to log a medical condition alongside the dietary requirement or not.

To edit a dietary requirement, click the requirement and then click the orange Edit button.

Please note that you can only edit the dietary requirement and not any medical conditions that may have been added at the same time as the dietary requirement.

To edit any medical conditions, click the medical condition and update the slide over.

Through the Meal section

Go to Meals from the left-hand menu of the student's profile, and click +Add in the Dietary Requirements section.

You can choose to log a medical condition alongside any dietary or allergy information.

To edit a dietary requirement, click the requirement, and then click the orange Edit button.

Please note that you can only edit the dietary requirement and not any medical conditions that may have been added at the same time as the dietary requirement.

To edit any medical conditions, go to the Medical section of the student profile, click the medical condition and update the slide over.

Seeing all dietary requirements

Go to School > Meals > Dietary Requirements to view a table of all students in the school with dietary requirements.
