Permissions
You'll need the Student: Special Education Needs: Administer My/All Students permission (also called Student: SEN: Administer My/All Students) to manage SEN details for students e.g. delete a SEN need. If you don't have the permission, you'll need to ask your admin team to give you permission using these instructions.
SEN Statuses
Go to the Student Profile and click Educational Needs in the left-hand menu. Click on the student's Status in the SEN Status Assignment History section.
Click the orange Edit button.
Click the red Delete SEN Status button, or edit the information and click the green button at the bottom of the slide over.
Can we edit SEN to be a different status?
You cannot edit the SEN status type:
- If you recorded the SEN status incorrectly, delete it and add it again
- If the student's SEN status has now changed, you should add an end date to the old SEN status, and add a new one. You can see how to add a new one here: Adding SEN (Special Educational Need) for a student
Special Educational Need
If you have added a need in error, go to the Student Profile and click Educational Needs in the left-hand menu.
Click on the SEN in the Educational Needs section.
Click the orange Edit button.
Click the red Delete button, or update the information and click the green button.
