When a parent or guardian clicks "Pay Now" in the Parent Portal or Parent App, their place or item is reserved for 30 minutes while they complete payment. This prevents two parents from purchasing the same place at the same time.

What happens when a spot is reserved?
During this 30-minute reservation window:
The place will not show as available to other parents.
The booking will not appear as confirmed in your MIS until payment is complete. This means it will not show in your booking count until the payment is confirmed or the 30-minute window expires.
What happens if the reservation is not booked?
If payment is not completed within 30 minutes, the reservation expires automatically, and the place becomes available again; no action is needed from the school. The spot becomes available for other parents to book automatically.
What can we advise parents?
If a parent contacts you to say a trip, club, or item appears full, but it does not appear full in your MIS, another parent most likely has the last place reserved. If, after 30 minutes, the item still appears available to an admin on the MIS, you can advise the guardian to try again.
