UCAS destinations

You can add in where students are going after they leave your college, to help you with reporting student destinations for the ILR.

What you'll need before getting started

To be able to match destinations to students, make sure you've recorded the students' UCAS numbers. You can see how to do this here: Adding or editing UCAS numbers for students

Adding destinations for the ILR

For individual students

Go to Students > All Students > Browse Students > Destinations from the left-hand menu.

Please note that this page is only accessible:

for post 16 institutions that complete the ILR
if you have added student destinations using the bulk importer detailed above

Top Tip: Click the column header or use the filter to show all students where you've not logged their destination yet.

Click on a student to update their information - you can choose Not known if you haven't been able to get in touch with them to verify.

In bulk by uploading the UCAS destinations file

Go to Students > All Students > Bulk Update > UCAS Destinations. Click the green button to import a new file.

Give the file a name for future identification - if you don't name it, we'll use the filename instead. Then click Browse to select the file to upload.

You can then see any instances where we've been unable to match the data to import. You'll need to correct the issues, and re-import for these students.

Viewing the imported information

On the student profile

This imported information will show in the Education & Employment history section of the student's profile.

In bulk

Go to Students > All Students > Browse Students > Destinations from the left-hand menu.

In the Custom Report Writer

Create a report about Students, and add the UCAS columns.

You can then download or Live Feed the details to export them out of Arbor.
