Query 6260Q

Query 6260Q indicates that a SENCO's qualification is missing in the system. SENCOs must have a NASENCO qualification unless they were in the role for over a year before September 2009. If the SENCO lacks the qualification, a note must be submitted with the census. If they have it, it should be logged in their profile. Non-SENCO staff linked to the SENCO role will also trigger this query, requiring a change in their position.

If you get Query 6260Q, this means your SENCO is missing a qualification that should be logged on your system.  SENCOs should have a NASENCO qualification unless they had been practising in that role for a year or more prior to September 2009.

If you have staff members with contract details that state they are the school's SENCO, they should be given the Z201 qualification.

You can see more information about this code on page 66 of the DfE's School employed staff guide.

If the staff member is your SENCO

  • If this staff member does not have this qualification, and they did not begin the role year or more prior to September 2009, you won't be able to resolve the query. Instead, you'll need to provide a note to COLLECt detailing this when you submit your census.
  • If the staff member does have the qualification, you'll need to log this on their staff profile. Follow the instructions in this article in Step 5: Set up your SENCo for the Workforce Census

If the staff member is not your SENCO

If a staff member is not your SENCO, they'll flag query 6260 when they've been linked to a Position with the Census Business Role of SEN co-ordinator

You'll need to change the identifier, or swap the staff members Position to another. You can see further details of how to manage these here: Setting Positions, Position Categories and Census Business Roles for the Workforce Census
