Fixing expired custom reports

To see what reports have expired, go to School > Custom Report Writer.

Some report filters expire when the new academic year arrives, for instance when they refer to a registration form from the previous year. You will receive a notice when you have an expired report.

Our report wizard will help you to fix these expired filters by looking at the groups that have been copied over. You can then amend the filter to use the corresponding group for the new year, or manually remap this to fix the issue yourself.

Click the Fix Expired Filters button on the banner.

You will see a list of reports that use filters that have expired. You'll see an explanation of the issue, and what we can do to fix it.

All reports are ticked by default for us to try and fix - untick any you'd rather we didn't alter and click 'Fix Filters'.

You will then see a pop-up informing you the process is complete.

If we were unable to automatically fix the issues, you will be shown another pop-up which you will need to click to resolve the errors manually.

Scroll down to the filter containing the error, and adjust the filter settings by clicking the pencil icon on the right.

Usually, the errors can be resolved by adjusting the dates of the filter to apply to the current year.
