Taking attendance in My Classroom

My Classroom allows teachers to visually look up from the seating plan to see which students are
present or absent. Attendance can either be taken on a student by student basis or by selecting multiple students and applying an attendance mark.

To get started, just click the Take Attendance button.

Please note: Although you can access My Classroom for a lesson at any time, you can only take
attendance up to an hour before the lesson is due to start. Before then, the button is greyed out.

Planned absences are shown with an attention icon. Hover over the icon (or tap it on a tablet) to see the timeframe of the planned absence and notes.

Important note for editing planned absence marks in My Classroom

If your school has the Prevent absences from being overwritten feature on, these settings will not apply to My Classroom. Even if the student has a planned absence, you can override the mark to N, present or late if your school restricts attendance marks, or any code if your school does not restrict marks.
