When completing Step 1 of the New School Year Setup process, you need to add your term dates and holidays into the academic calendar, to determine when registers will be taken.
When adding holidays, you might get this error.
This error will flag when you try to add a holiday with the type of Half-term during dates that aren't covered by a term. This can happen when:
- You are adding Christmas, Easter or Summer holidays - these need to be given the holiday type of Vacation instead.
- You've created 6 terms instead of 3. In this case, you can add half-term holidays as Vacations. However, we would recommend changing your setup to have only 3 terms to ensure you can use the Half-Termly assessment period for assessments, among other things. This will then enable you to log half-term holidays using the half-term holiday type.
