The mailing list for newsletter, product update and help emails and pop ups

Once your school goes live with Arbor, we may send you updates via email to let you know of important developments and to help you prepare for key milestones, such as the Census.

Who receives the emails and pop ups?

Our mailing list is based on your account settings in Arbor. You'll receive our update emails if you have an active business role assigned to you that would do administrative tasks in Arbor, such as a Data Manager, or SLT.

If your schools has taken responsibility for the permissions within a role, this will not impact the mailing list as it's based on Business Role names.

If you are a MAT MIS user rather than a School MIS user, you may not receive all emails we send to our schools because they may not be relevant.

Partner Supported

If you are supported by one of our Support partners, you won't receive our update emails. We'll only send you system updates and notifications of maintenance. Please contact your Partner if you require support with Arbor.

Can I be added to the mailing list?

To be added to the mailing list, you'll need to be given an active administrative business role. Please ask your staff to follow these instructions: Adding a Business Role to a member of staff

Once you have an active administrative business role, you'll be included in our next email.

Do we send out training resources to new users?

Yes we do! When a new user logs in for the first time, we send them an email that includes a link to one of our Introduction to Arbor guides for new users: New user training guides

How can I remove myself from the mailing list?

Please note that it is not possible to be unsubscribed from emails about only certain topics.

You have two options for removing yourself from the mailing list:

  • Unsubscribe - If you still work at the school but don't want to receive our emails, click the link at the bottom of our email to unsubscribe
  • Stop access - If you no longer work at the school, please ask the school to remove your access (and you from our mailing list) by following these instructions: How to end a staff member's employment to disable access

You should not delete the staff member's profile, as this is needed for the Workforce Census.

Which of my email addresses is used?

We'll send our emails to your default email address.

This is the same email address you use to log into Arbor with.

In the example below, even though the user has a work email address, the communications will be sent to his personal email address, because that's set as the default.
