Guardians can only make payments for students until the end of the academic year they were last enrolled in - you can see more details about this here: How long can a parent see a student after they have left the school?
Because of this, if you need to zero a debt balance for students who have left your school (such as year 6 or year 11), you'll need to log the payment manually.
The best way of doing this is by adding a credit note to the student's account: Add a credit note
Please note that it is not possible to add credit notes in bulk, so you'll need to add a credit note for each student individually.
