Error 4505 indicates that a staff member designated as a Leading Practitioner has an invalid pay range that does not align with DfE expectations. To resolve this, review the staff member's pay scale in the HR Admin section and ensure the pay range type is correct.

Error Message: Pay Range is invalid for the given post. Leading practitioners must be paid under the “Leading Practitioners” pay Range.

Resolution:

The staff member contract and post shows them as being a Leading Practitioner, however, their Pay Range doesn't match DfE expectations. You need to review the pay scale.

  1. Go to Staff > All Staff > HR Admin > Payscales
  2. Click into the staff member's payscale
  3. Review the pay range type
