See when or if staff, students and guardians are logging in

This article explains how to monitor login activity for staff, students, and guardians in Arbor. It details how to access individual user login history, view login methods, and check for two-factor authentication usage. Additionally, it covers how to view login history for all users over the last 30 days and provides options to filter and manage user accounts.

You can monitor when individuals are accessing Arbor, or if your staff have been able to access Arbor, using the range of pages detailed below.

Individual users

Go to the System Engagement section of their staff profile. This will show you the times and dates for the last 50 times they logged in.

  • Identity Provider - This shows the login method used by the person. You'll see either GOOGLE or MICROSOFT when logging in using Single sign-on (SSO), or ARBOR when logging in with Username and Password.
  • 2FA Method - This shows whether Two-factor authentication was used when logging in, and will show APP_AUTHENTICATOR, or blank if 2FA was not used.

You can also click their username in the User Details section of their profile.

All users - Last 30 days on the Full login list

Go to School > Users & Security > Login History to see all logins for the last 30 days on desktop or the Parent App. You can filter your table by user type to look at staff, guardians or students.

  • Identity Provider - This shows the login method used by the person. You'll see either GOOGLE or MICROSOFT when logging in using Single sign-on (SSO), or ARBOR when logging in with Username and Password.
  • 2FA Method - This shows whether Two-factor authentication was used when logging in, and will show APP_AUTHENTICATOR, or blank if 2FA was not used.
  • Type of User - Student, Guardian or Staff Member. Top Tip: External Administrators are MAT MIS staff who have logged into the School MIS via the MAT MIS site.

You can click on a user to take further actions, such as disabling their account or changing their password.

All Users - All logins in the User List

Go to School > Users & Security > User List to see all users and their most recent login on desktop or the Parent App.

Click into the filters to filter your table:

  • Select dates to filter out students without an active enrolment, guardians not linked to a student with an active enrolment, or staff without an active business role.
  • Tick or untick the boxes to look at only students, guardians, staff or Other - Support Partner, Arbor Admin or External Administrators (MAT MIS staff who have logged into the School MIS via the MAT MIS site).

The report will show a full list of users, their username and their last login date.

Click on a user to view their details and their User Overview.

Staff or guardians who have never logged in

Click on the column header to bring everyone who has never logged in to the top. These users will have a blank Last Login Date column.
