Alps and Arbor Integration

If you use Alps to monitor student attainment and progress, you can import student contextual and teaching set data using Arbor's custom report writer templates.

The instructions below will guide you through the process of downloading our template files and importing them into Arbor to create the required reports. Once these have been created, you'll be able to download them, optionally fill in any extra columns that could not be populated within Arbor, and then import your file into Arbor.

KS4 Pupil Data
  1. Click here to download our custom report writer template for KS4 student data. Do not open this file.
  2. Import the template into Arbor following the instructions in this article.
  3. The KS4 template includes all mandatory columns for an upload into Alps, and additionally contains three empty columns that will need to be completed outside of Arbor:
    • Average GCSE Score - The Average GCSE score column can be left blank on your initial Alps upload - you can import this data in a separate spreadsheet by pairing the values up with the Student ID column.
    • [Roll - if Consortium]
    • KS2 Scaled Score - The KS2 Scaled Score data can also be uploaded separately - you should be able to obtain this data in CSV format from the DfE's GIAP service.
  4. Click the 'Download' button to download the report in Excel or CSV format.
