See which students have not given consent

This article will explain how to filter a report about student consents, so that it only shows you students and guardians who have not consented.

Permissions

  • School: General Admin: Export Data - Create and edit custom reports.
  • Student Profile: Consents: Administer All Students - View student consents and preferences.

If you don't have the permission, you'll need to ask your admin team to give you permission using these instructions.

Using the consents page

Go to Students > Parents & Guardians > Parental Consents and select the consent.

Click the arrow next to the column title to filter the column to show only students that have not consented.

Creating a filtered consents report

You will need to create a custom report of consents, following along with the guidance here.

Creating a new report

When creating a new report, you need to add a filter during step 6 of creating the report.

In the Filters section, type 'consent' into the Select filter: box to see a drop-down of all the consents available.

Select the relevant consent and click Set Parameters to bring up a slide-over where you can set the conditions of the filter.

Make sure you have selected No from the Filter Condition drop-down, then click Save Changes.

Once you have done that, your report will now only show students who are marked as a no for that consent. Please bear in mind that both students who said no, and who have not responded yes or no yet, will show in this list. This is because neither have given their consent yet.

Adding a filter to an existing report

You can add a filter to an existing consents report without creating a new one if needed.

  1. Open up your report and click Edit in the top-left.
  2. Scroll down to Filters and click + Add Another.
  3. Type 'consent' into the Select Filter: box to see a list of available consents in the drop-down.
  4. Click the relevant consent and click Add Filter.
  5. In the slide-over that pops up, make sure the Filter Condition is set to No, and click Save Changes.
