What do the different entry and withdrawal statuses mean?

The statuses that entries can have in Arbor are:

Entered

The statuses that entries can have in Arbor are as below.

Entered pending

These statuses show on the Entries > Entries by Student Group page as a yellow clock:

  1. Entered (Pending Submission): An entry has been created in Arbor, but has not yet been included in an EDI file generation. Entries in this state can be withdrawn to be removed from the system completely.
  2. Entered (Pending Confirmation): An entry has been included in an EDI file generation, but this file has not yet been confirmed or rejected. Entries in this state cannot be withdrawn, so you need to confirm your EDI file (as long as the Awarding Organisation have accepted the file), then make withdrawals.

Entry confirmed

This status shows on the Entries > Entries by Student Group page as a green tick.

An entry has been submitted within an EDI file, and the file has then been confirmed. Entries in this state can be withdrawn and the withdrawal will be included in the next EDI file generation.

Withdrawn

When a confirmed entry is withdrawn, it will be given one of the following statuses.

Withdrawn pending

These statuses show on the Entries > Entries by Student Group page as a red clock:

  1. Withdrawn (Pending Submission): A confirmed entry is withdrawn but not yet included in an EDI file generation. Candidates can be re-entered at this point.
  2. Withdrawn (Pending Confirmation): The withdrawal has been included in an EDI file generation, but the file has not yet been confirmed. Candidates cannot be re-entered whilst their withdrawal is in this status. Confirm your EDI file before re-entering the student.

Withdrawn

This status shows on the Entries > Entries by Student Group page as a red cross.

The withdrawal has been included in an EDI file generation, and the file has been confirmed. Candidates can be re-entered at this point.
