Because staff can work at more than one school, you may have:
- staff profiles set up on more than one school site
- a staff profile on the MAT MIS - when logging in via this method, Two-factor authentication will be needed for the MAT profile (if enabled), but not if logging into a school site through the MAT site
The staff member can have the same email address logged on each school site profile, and have this email be used when signing in with Two-factor authentication.
However for some authenticator apps, there may be additional steps required to enable this.
For example, Microsoft Authenticator requires a separate authentication profile for each account - one for each school. The staff member will need to manually add additional accounts to their authenticator, shown in their guidance here: Multiple entries in MS Authenticator for same username from different machines
