What is the Arbor In-App Help Guide?

The Arbor Help Guide (formerly known as Arby/Arbor Bot) is an intelligent, context-sensitive guide that lives as a small button within your Arbor MIS. It's your personal assistant, making processes simpler and ensuring you have the support you need, exactly when you need it.

When you click the button, a guide window will pop up with a variety of resources to help you, including:

• Step-by-Step Guides: The guide provides help tailored to the specific task you're performing, whether it's setting up a new user or running a census report. You’ll see selected guides you can view to walk you through a process.
• Search the Help Centre: Quickly find the answers you need. The guide gives you a direct way to search our Help Centre for articles, guides, and tutorials.
• Access Useful Links: Get to the most important resources fast. The guide provides a list of useful links related to the task or area you are working in.

Where to find the Guide

The Arbor Help Guide is a small, round button with a book Icon located in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen when you are logged into your Arbor MIS. It will appear on relevant pages where it can provide guidance on specific Milestones.

All schools will have access to use the guide, whether you're partner supported or not. 

If you can't see the guide, please check your Business Role - the guide will only show to people who have an Admin or SLT business role as listed here.
If your business role is correct, it's likely you haven't opted in to see the guide. If you believe you should have access or would like to opt in to see the guide, please contact the Arbor Support Team

Did you know the Guide is draggable?

If the button is getting in the way, you can easily move it. The Arbor Help Guide is draggable, so just click and drag it to a more convenient position on your screen.

Opting Out of the Guide

If you decide you no longer want to see the Arbor Help Guide, you have the option to opt out. To do this, Click the Opt Out option at the bottom of the guide.

When You'll See the Guide

The Arbor Help Guide is designed to be most visible and helpful during critical periods in the school year. You can expect to see it during key milestones, including:

• School Census
• Workforce Census
• Exams
• New School Year Set Up
