It is not possible for schools to add their own attendance codes. This is because codes need to:
- map back to one of the values on the list of agreed codes, outlined in CBDS (the DfE's common data set), to be reported in the census.
- match across schools, to enable aggregate reporting on the MAT MIS.
When recording attendance, you will need to select the most appropriate code - you can view a full list of our codes and how to use them here: Attendance codes and how they count towards statutory attendance. Please contact the DfE to confirm which code to use if you are unsure.
