This article explains how to resolve issues related to a blank screen or error messages when staff members log into Arbor. It highlights the need for proper permissions, including the 'Dashboard: Staff' permission and a valid business role. If features are not enabled, users are advised to contact Arbor Support or their support provider.
There are a few reasons why you might see a blank homepage or error message when logging in as a staff member.
Top Tip: For guardians, please see our guidance here: Logging in for Parents
Blank homepage
You'll need to make sure you have the Dashboard: Staff permission added to your staff profile. You'll need to ask your admin team to give you permission using these instructions.
Error messages
There are two reasons why you might get an error message that says 'There seems to be an issue with your access to Arbor'.
Missing Business Role
Every staff profile must be given a business role to be able to log in and access Arbor. If you haven't been given a business role, you'll see a message on your homepage that says:
"It looks like you don't have the required level of permissions to access Arbor. Please contact your Admin team and ask them to check your permissions. They'll need to make sure you have a current business role covering today's date."
You will need to ask your team to give you a business role - they can follow these instructions: Adding a Business Role to a member of staff
Arbor features
In order to access Arbor, your school would have purchased certain features. If you see the message below, it means these features need to be enabled:
"It looks like your site doesn't have the right features enabled to access Arbor. Please contact Arbor Support (or your support provider) so they can check that your features are set up correctly."
Please contact the Support Team if supported by Arbor, or your Support Partner if not supported by Arbor.
