This article explains how to use My Homepage, your personalized Arbor dashboard. It's designed for teachers and pastoral staff, giving you a quick overview of your classes, student attendance, behavior, and progress.
Accessing My Homepage?
To access My Homepage, you'll need the Dashboard: Staff permission. This is usually included in a staff member's Business Role. If you can't access it, contact your admin team to request this permission. The dashboard's layout and information will vary based on your role.
Key Features for All Staff
No matter your role, My Homepage shows:
-
School Notices: Important announcements at the top.
-
Favourites: Quickly access frequently used pages and actions (e.g., 'Take attendance', 'Send email'). You can personalize your dashboard by adding and renaming these.
-
School Statistics: View and adjust whole-school performance data (Attendance, Behaviour, or Attainment). You can also compare your school's performance with other Arbor schools using National Average and National Percentile data.
Here is an example of what the Head Teacher (someone who is not teaching or pastoral staff) would see.
Additional features for Teaching and pastoral staff
If you're a form tutor, academic lead, head of year, lead staff for interventions, or head of department, you'll also see:
- My Students - personalized view of student progress. Drill down into trends, filter by key groups (e.g., FSM Year 5 boys, SEN EAL girls), or switch to the "Whole School" tab for an overall view.
-
To-do list - An automated list of urgent tasks like:
-
Incomplete registers
-
Unresolved behavior incidents
-
Incomplete assessment data collections
-
Cover requests
-
Pending student record changes (for relevant staff)
-
Flagged duplicate profiles (for relevant staff)
-
- Alerts - Notifications for new medical or pastoral notes, student group changes, detentions, and birthdays.
Teachers or someone with pastoral responsibilities includes anyone who is a:
- Form tutor, Academic lead, or teacher of a class (must be assigned to the class, not just to the timetable slots)
- Head of year or house (must be assigned in the Students > Enrolments section, not just have the Business Role)
- Lead staff member of an intervention (must be assigned to the intervention, not just to timetable slots)
- Teacher of a teaching group
- Head or Second of Department or Faculty
Here is an example of what teaching staff would see. You can use the sections below for more information on each area.

You can see full details here: Custom Favourites on My Homepage
Here you can see any upcoming lessons, clubs, trips, interventions, detentions, events and meetings - any session you’ve been set to attend or lead. Click My Calendar to view your full calendar, or click the event to open the session dashboard, such as a lesson dashboard to take attendance for the class.
Here, teachers see any incomplete registers for your classes, which will always show at the top.
Under these, you’ll see (with the newest at the top):
- behaviour incidents assigned to you to be resolved
- incomplete assessment data collections in the current academic year
- cover requests
- expired detentions: To Do list for expired detentions from a previous academic year
- flagged duplicates that may cause login issues: Login issues in my To Do list on My Homepage
If you can view the School > Data > Data Quality Dashboard > Student Record Changes > Pending page and your school uses the Parent Portal or Parent App, you’ll be able to see when there’s a new pending student record change and click it to approve or reject them.
When the system has been able to identify a duplicate profile, everyone with the School: General Admin: Administer permission will see this in their to-do list. You can then click the duplicate to delete or merge them from the Data Quality dashboard.
You can’t create your own to-dos as they are automatically generated.
Click the top of the section to see all your To-Dos.
You can click any item to be taken to the page where you can resolve the to-do item.
You’ll need to resolve everything to clear your to-dos. If you’ve worked through your to-do list, you’ll see this.
Here you’ll see a notification as and when new date is recorded for your students, or if their birthday is today, with the newest alert at the top.
For more information, see our article: Alerts on your homepage
You can see any notices that are currently running for school staff. These aren’t displayed on the Parent Portal or Student Portal if you also use these.
If part of the message is cut off, just click it to read the full notice.
If you have the School: General Admin: Administer permission, you’ll be able to click School Notices and edit or add more. You can also get to this page from School > Communications > Notices.
For more information, see our article: School Notices on your homepage
You’ll be able to view the KPIs for all the students enrolled in your school. For full details on how these work and whether they can be edited, see our guidance here: How do the KPIs on My Homepage work?
You can choose which KPIs to display using the drop-down menu.
All of the filter options are ‘sticky’ so once you set them, they’ll be the same each time you return to My Dashboard or log back in until you change them. If you choose to not display a set of KPIs, they will remain hidden when you next log in.
If you are a teacher or have pastoral responsibilities e.g. as a head of house, you'll also be able to view the KPIs for all the students you are linked to - just click the tabs to switch between the two.
On the My Students tab, the KPIs will only show you the students you are linked to, so the enrolment figures will usually be much lower than the overall school figures.
To look at just one of the student groups you are linked to, click the first drop-down menu and select your group.
This filter acts as an ‘or’ filter, so in this example, my KPIs will include any students who are in 7Pe/1 or in 8Pe/2.
You can also filter your KPIs to look at students that fall into a particular demographic using the second filter. Click the second drop-down menu and select your demographics - you can select a maximum of 2.
This filter acts as an ‘and’ filter, so in this example, my KPIs will include any students who are EAL and also Male.
You can use both filters together, to drill down into the KPIs of a particular demographic in a particular group of students. In this example, I can see anyone in Acklam house who is FSM and Pupil Premium.
