How do we migrate exams and access arrangements?
- We migrate entries from SIMS and Progresso. The only exception is with Pearson BTECs. We can’t automatically scrape this basedata so please follow these instructions: Setting up BTEC qualifications
- We also migrate historic exam results from SIMS.
- Seating plans, exam rooms and timetables are not migrated.
You can see details of what you'll need to do before and after migration here: Moving to Arbor - Top Tips for Exams Officers.
We only migrate access arrangement types from SIMS. Comments for access arrangements will not be migrated. If you need to log or edit access arrangements, you can see how to do this here.
Are In-house exams migrated to Arbor?
In-house exams do not migrate, so you would need to set these up following these instructions: Setting up In-house Examinations.
How do we move our assessments from another system e.g. Target Tracker to Arbor?
When moving to Arbor, only Statutory Key Stage data (Standardised Assessments and marks for students in these assessments) can be migrated. You can see where to find this information here: DfE statutory Primary Assessments
We don't migrate any other assessment types into Arbor, because they have different formats in different applications. You also cannot import using a CTF.
We won't automatically bring over assessment from external systems, such as Target Tracker, Educater etc.
You'll need to set up marksheets and input or import your baselines, marks and targets to track and analyse your assessment data. Get started by following these Introduction to Arbor Assessments guides:
