Why is the school not on the list when exporting a CTF or adding Education and Employment History?

This article explains why a school may not appear when exporting a CTF or adding Education and Employment History. It emphasizes the need to add the institution to the site and check its presence on the Get Information About Schools site. If issues persist, contacting Arbor Support or the relevant support partner is recommended.

Adding schools to the list

If you can't select a school when generating a CTF or adding Education and Employment history, this usually means you have not yet added the institution to your site. Arbor doesn't maintain a list of schools for you; the schools listed are ones you manually add.

You can see the schools set up on your site in School > Linked Organisations > Educational Institutions. 

If the school of your choice is not on the list on this page, you will need to add this as an Educational Institution before exporting your CTF. Do this by using the +Add button on the Educational Institutions page. Refer to this guide for more detailed instructions: Manage my school's Linked Organisations
 

I've added the school to my site, but it hasn't appeared when I create a CTF

If you have added the school to the Educational Institutions part of Arbor and you still cannot see the institution when exporting a CTF or adding Employment History, you'll need to check if the destination school is on the Get Information About Schools site.

• If it's not there, ask the school in question to get in touch with the DfE so they can be added to their system.
• If the school is already on the Get Information About Schools site, contact the Arbor Support Team if supported by Arbor and reference code 1004, or contact your Support Partner if not supported by Arbor.
