Seeing a list of Gifted and Talented students

This article explains how you can view students who have either a Gifted or a Gifted and Talented status in Arbor.

From the Derived Indicators page

To see students with either Gifted or Gifted and Talented statuses, go to Students > Demographics > Derived Indicators and select Educational needs. 

Click into the filters at the top of the page, and in Demographic, select either Gifted or Gifted + Talented, as applicable. You can also choose to show the inverse of the demographic. Add dates as required, and click Save Changes.

You can see a list of students, including their name, year groups, registration form and the dates the start and stop being this demographic.

You can download the table by clicking the Download button, or click on a student to see more details, or jump to their profile.

• Gifted - Students will appear in this table if they have a gifted status logged on their Student Profile in the Educational Needs section.
• Talented - Students will appear in this table if they have a talented status logged on their Student Profile in the Educational Needs section.
• Gifted + talented - a list of gifted and talented students. Students will appear in this table if they have the gifted or talented status logged on their Student Profile in the Educational Needs section.

Please note: you will need the School: Demographics: View permission to be able to access Students > Demographics & Educational Needs > Derived Indicators > Educational Needs. If you don't have this permission, you can ask another member of staff to give it to you following this guidance. 

From the Gifted and Talented page(s)

You can view gifted students from Students > Educational needs > Gifted and Talented > Gifted. To record a student's gift, click +Add, fill in the details in the slide over that appears and click Create.

Please note: you will need the Student Profile: Gifted and Talented: View All Students permission to be able to access Students > Demographics & Educational Needs > Gifted & Talented. If you don't have this permission, you can ask another member of staff to give it to you following this guidance. 

In My Classroom

Gifted and Talented students will also have an icon with a G (for Gifted), T (for Talented) or a G+T (for Gifted and Talented) on My Classroom seating plans, for easy identification of their needs when teaching and taking registers.
