The Data Quality Dashboard's Guardians area includes a check for students who have more than one guardian or contact set with the same Emergency Priority. This helps you ensure that you have clearly defined contact priorities. This guide covers how to find and resolve duplicates from one page.
Permissions
- Student Profile:Guardians:Administer All/My Students - Needed to access and use the Duplicate Emergency Priorities page
If you don't have permission, contact your office staff; they can follow this guide to give you the right permission.
Using the page
Get started by going to School > Data > Data Quality > Guardians > Duplicate Emergency Priorities.
The students in the table on the page have more than one guardian/contact assigned the same emergency contact priority. By default, this shows duplicated 1st and 2nd priorities for students enrolled in the current academic year, which decide who is contacted first in an emergency.
Use the filter above the table to:
- Change the academic year. For example, if you want to look at students who were previously enrolled in the school or if you want to look at students who have an enrolment for a future year.
- Change the contact priority levels included in the table. For example, if you only want to include students with duplicated 1st priority emergency contacts
Once you're happy with your filters, you can click on a student to see which of their contacts have an overlapping priority on a slide-over.
Use the dropdowns under each contact/guardian to reorder the priorities (1), then click Save Changes (2).
Once the duplicate priorities are resolved, the student stops appearing in the list,
There is no bulk action to resolve these duplicates; you have to click on each student and go through them individually.
