If you have a double lesson or duplicate module with duplicate classes, this quick article will show you where to find this on your school site.
Step 1 - Check for duplicates
To find your timetable lesson, go to School > Timetable. From the left-hand menu, click Lesson Timetable (list). You will need to select the filter bar at the top of the page.
Once you have clicked into the filter select the day you need to look at. Make sure you select the start and end date to be the same so the filter will only pull through one day's worth of timetabled lessons.
Here you will see the lessons that are taking place on the day of your filter and you will be able to identify any double/duplicate lessons.
Step 2 - Check attendance
If you've identified any duplicate lessons, you'll need to check whether attendance has been taken at any point for the one you want to remove. If attendance has been taken, you won't be able to delete it, but you can prevent duplicate lessons from showing in the future.
Go to School > Programmes > Courses and find the duplicate lesson you want to remove (you may need to click +). Go to Attendance from the left-hand menu and check if there are any marks in the boxes here.
Can't see a duplicate course? Click into the main course and check the lessons scheduled in the Classes & Lessons section.
Step 3 - Remove the duplicate lessons
If there is attendance, you'll need to end the timetable slots following these instructions, so there are no more duplicate register in future: Editing timetable slots, lesson times, rooms and staff
If there isn't attendance, you can delete the duplicate:
- For a duplicate course, click the red Delete button on the left of the course to delete it.
- For a duplicate class, go to the Timetable section from the left-hand menu. Click the duplicate timetable slot, and click Edit. In the slide over, click Delete Timetable Slot.
