How to view the data
You will need to navigate to: Students > Attendance > Absentees > Absentees By Date to view this table.
Then select the green filter at the top of the table to select a date range, year group and specific absence marks.
Note: The Days Column outlines the number of days the student has had a consecutive absence code recorded, not taking into account school holidays.
To export the information from the table, select the grey Download option.
Adding a planned absence from the Absentees by Date page
If you see that a student has been absent but has no planned absence recorded, you can select the student's name to edit this.
One selected, a slide-over will appear; this will allow you to then select the Record Planned Absence option and add the absence.
You can also add this planned absence using the Adding and viewing Planned Absences guide.
Arranging a follow-up email from the Absentees by Date page
To arrange a follow-up with parents to discuss the student's absence, you will need to select the student's name and wait for the slide-over to appear.
You can then select the Follow up with guardian option. This will then provide the option to send to a specific parent either by SMS or Email. It will automatically assign the Absentee by date email template.
To edit this template, please use the following guide here.
Top tip: If you called the parents to discuss this, you can also log the follow-up call in this area.
