The Quick Follow-Up attendance page allows Attendance Officers to efficiently track daily attendance, view student presence through visual charts, and follow up with guardians. Access requires specific permissions, and the page can be navigated to through the Students > Attendance > Registers menu. Users can filter attendance data, edit marks, and perform bulk actions for guardian communication.
You can use the Quick Follow-Up page for daily attendance tracking. Using this page, Attendance Officers can quickly see who is in their lessons and who is missing. Use the visual charts to see which lessons in the day students had an N mark for (rather than a table like on the Absence by Date page).
Permissions
You'll need the Attendance: Administer All students permission to access and use this page. If you don't have the permission, you'll need to ask your admin team to give you permission using these instructions.
Top Tip: Staff don't need to be a permitted sender of the communication type to follow up with guardians from this page.
Using the page
If your school has this page enabled, you can get to it by going to Students > Attendance > Registers > Quick Follow-Up.
Click on the filters to select the date and which type of absence marks are included. You can see more information about which marks fit into each category here: Attendance codes and how they count towards statutory attendance
Clicking on the bar allows you to see more details, click into an attendance mark to edit it, or take action with the student.
You can also follow up with guardians in bulk in the same way as on the Absence by Date page using the bulk actions.
