Is Pupil Premium output in census?

Pupil Premium information isn’t submitted to the DfE in the census.

We include underlying reasons why students would be eligible for Pupil Premium (FSM, Post Looked After, Service Child), and the DfE then use this information to decide who will receive Pupil Premium allocations.

In the census, you may find table 5 useful to find numbers of Service Children, Post Looked After and FSM eligible students on Census Day.

If you do want to find the number of students who were classed as potentially eligible for Pupil Premium at the time of the census, you can use these reports (just change the date range at the top): See a list of Pupil Premium students

Top Tip: Some pages will show you students who are eligible for Pupil Premium, which won't necessarily mean they are Pupil Premium Recipients - you can see how this works here: Pupil Premium Eligible vs Pupil Premium Recipients
