Permissions
- School: General Admin: Administer - Manage alternative provisions.
- Staff Profile: Contact Details: Administer - Add contact details or postal addresses for institutions.
- Student Profile: Identity: Administer All Students - Amend an alternative provision on student profiles.
If you don't have permission, you'll need to ask your admin team to give you permission using these instructions.
Query 3132
Where AP Setting Type is provided, Company number should also be provided.
The placement is a Sole Trader
It is possible for your AP provider to be a sole trader, and not have a companies house number. If this is the case, then you can include a note on COLLECT to say that the AP provider is a sole trader.
The placement is at a company
If the placement is at a company, there must be a Company number recorded.
Go to School > Linked Organisations > Companies and click on the company. Make sure the Registration number is added.
Error 2395
Where AP Setting Type is provided, AP Postcode must also be provided.
Go to School > Linked Organisations > Companies and click on the company. Make sure the postal address is added.
The placement is at a different organisation
If the placement is not at a company, there should not be a Setting Type chosen.
Go to the Education & Employment history section of the student's profile, click into the placement and remove the Setting type.
Error 2397
Company number is invalid for a school arranged alternative provision (AP) placement.
Go to School > Linked Organisations > Companies and click on the company. Make sure the Registration number is correct and is 8 digits long.
Error 2398
Postcode is invalid for a school arranged alternative provision (AP) placement.
Go to School > Linked Organisations > Companies and click on the company. Make sure the postal address is correct.
