Adding a previous Academic Year

This guide explains how to add a previous academic year to your Arbor site. This is useful if you need to backfill historical data for reporting or record-keeping purposes.


Permissions

You will need the School: Academic Structure: Administer permission to perform this task.

If you do not have this permission, please ask your school's admin staff to assign it to you.


Adding the Academic Year

To add a past academic year, you create a generic new year and then edit the details to match the historical dates.

  1. Navigate to School > School Structure > Academic Years

  2. Click the green +Add button.

  3. A slide-over menu will appear. In the Academic year name field, enter the previous academic year you want to add (e.g. 2014/2015).

  4. Click Create Academic Year.

  5. Locate and click on the Academic Year you just created at the top of the list

  6. On the next page, click on the Academic Year Name field.

  7. On the slide over, update the start and end dates to match that academic year you want to add (Note: the year needs to end before the start of the Academic Year the next, so that the dates do not overlap)

  8. Click Save Changes.

  9. Repeat these steps for any other missing previous Academic Years you need to add.
